Yum Brands which operates Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut as part of its global expansion plan will expand by at least 300 units through franchise deals. They are planning to do this with three private equity firms.

Yum Brands is planning to expand 2000 restaurants in India by 2020. It has been in this country for more than 12 years now and has roughly 800 restaurants in the country, including seven Taco Bell locations.

Taco Bell opened its first restaurant in Tokyo.In 2013 the company had announced its plan to invest $100 million in India. The country has been a favorite for U.S. brands including Domino’s Pizza, with more than 800 outlets presence across the nation and Subway with 513 locations.

Apart from this, there are many food and beverage brands who offer franchise opportunities in India.
