Event Planning and Management is a coordinated effort which requires a lot of time, patience and hard work. And when it comes to executing an event where every single thing is luxuriously designed starting from personalized invites to theme of the party to return gifts, It definitely is a stressful job. So to evolve as a great event planner you must be completely focused and innovative which Ms.Sahni. has definitely been. We had an opportunity to interview her and know more about the profession’s struggle and reward.
1.Start by telling us the journey of your brand? How did you get into this business?
Answer I as an individual have always been of the opinion that it is important for everybody to have an identity of their own. Besides being financially independent, it is important for each one of us to explore our creativity. For the longest time, I wondered what my creative side was and where my passion lied. Until, I became a mother and started organizing birthday parties for my girls. I realized, I had double energy and enthusiasm when it came to organizing a party. I would put my heart and soul into it and then experience immense satisfaction after the party was a success.
This is how Chetsberry-The Luxury Events Company evolved. We provide end to end services to our clients for organizing a party. We do it all from venue selection, theme based invites, personalized calls to the guests, elaborate thematic decorations, party entertainment activities, photography & videography to capture moments that become memories, personalized birthday stationary, colorful detailed birthday cakes , exquisite catering and utility based return giveaways. We work in close coordination with the client to understand their requirements & their taste, thus working around the same to help them have a fulfilling experience.
2.Have you ever had to plan more than one event simultaneously? How did you do it? What was the result?
Ans. Yes, many a times we have to organize different occasions with absolutely different themes on the same date & we happily do it. This requires double the planning & coordination which we are fully trained for. We are a result oriented team, and for us customer satisfaction is of utmost importance which we achieve through our expertise and dedication.
3.How do you use social media for your event planning or for attracting customers?
Ans. In today’s date, social media is an integral part of development and marketing of a business. It is not only the most effective but also the fastest & most cost effective medium for creating brand awareness. We use social media to generate inquiries and advertise our business to millions of users across the world.
4.What is unique about your business and where do you see yourself in next 5 years?
Ans. We at Chetsberry understand that the true purpose of an event is to achieve your client’s goals and deliver the best experience to the intended audience. We understand our clients’ needs and determine their true goals, and then work passionately and sincerely towards giving our clients & guests a fulfilling experience. Event management is not only about organizing and detailing an event, but also being prepared and planning for contingencies. We at Chetsberry have the ability to foresee any potential threats & risks and follow full safety guidelines to ensure safety of our guests.
In 5 years time, we see ourselves doing what we do best i.e. organizing events.. But at a larger scale, at both national and international levels, with a wide happy customer base spread across different parts of the world.
5.What would be your suggestion to the budding entrepreneur?
Ans. Be passionate about your work. Consider every hurdle that comes your way as a stepping stone to success. Learn from your mistakes but don’t let them hold you back from growing further. It is never too late to make a new beginning so if you have a plan in mind, don’t hesitate go ahead and put it into action.
6.Event management is a job that requires a lot of time and effort so how do you manage your personal and professional lives?
Ans. Well, creating that balance is not always easy especially because most of the events happen over the weekends. But I manage that by fixing my working hours(whenever I can) and by making up to my family(whenever I can’t). Also, I try and give in my 100% to whatever I do whether it is professional or personal thus finding enough time to justify both my roles as a homemaker and an entrepreneur.
