Q1Please tell us about the inspiring journey of your brand Grillicious? Please shed some light on the ups and downs which you faced through pulling off your brand? 

Grillicious is a state of mind, a culture and a way of being. Our mission is to serve delicious food in a fun and creative environment. We like to innovate and flounder the boundaries of flavors to bring unique grill based creations to satiate the new Indian Palate. We began with a humble home based kitchen making delectable and unique Grill based delicacies that soon got us recognized. This helped us evolve & toy with the idea of “Do it Yourself BBQ” Parties with the same intention back then as now – To make the most juiciest and unique grills for our guests and Create and experience long cherished. This too was well appreciated with the patrons, which ultimately provoked us to start formalized operations as a full service restaurant.

Even today as our first Franchised Restaurant in Baner Pune, opened its doors to our friends, the challenge we faced was to standardize the operations to a level so simple that all our Franchisees find it easy to adapt and focus their attention only on productive aspects of the business. But, with our founder’s extensive 16 year hospitality experience, made it look like a cakewalk.

So, at Grillicious Restaurants, we always follow the motto to make our customers believe –When grills are delicious, its only Grillicious.

Q2.According to you what’s your ace food product which has the capability to steal the show?

We at Grillicious believe in creating unique creations and constantly innovating the offerings so a restaurant always stays relevant through the times as they change. However, some creations that have got us recognition are listed

 Q4What are your expansion plans and future prospects regarding Grillicious BBQ Restaurant?

Grillicious Foods mission is to significantly contribute to the wellbeing of over 2000 families by the year 2025. This can be done by having a network of 100 restaurants in the next 9 years. Our immediate focus is in the 5 major metro cities – Delhi (including Gurgaon & Noida), Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai& Hyderabad.

 Q5What kind of training and support do you provide to your franchisees?

Grillicious BBQ Restaurant works on a sound philosophy of knowledge brings power of choice and self-improvement is the only guaranteed investment one can do. Which brings us to the most important USP of our brand – Training & Support

  • Initial training of the recruited team is extensively carried out at our flagship outlets while the franchised restaurant is taking shape
  • They also undergo an assessment by the corporate team before they can assume their role at the upcoming franchised restaurant
  • A 360 degree evaluation is also in place to assess the performance and need based training requirements via Surprise audits by the corporate team, Mystery audits by externally appointed agencies and Franchised owners assessment of his team.
  • Special Events & Food Festivals training is also provided to key personnel before a go ahead is given to execute the same at the franchised restaurants
  • All Marinades, Sauces & Pre-mixes are manufactured & processed at our central facility with very high quality standards & shelf life and provided to all our Franchised Partners at subsidized costs for uniformity in quality standards, better efficiency and reduced dependency of production manpower.

Q6. What are your thoughts on the Market that you provide your delicious food to?

India’s food and beverages (F&B) industry will expand at an average annual pace of 24% to reach Rs.3.8 trillion in sales by the year ending 31 March 2017, a report predicted on Tuesday.Standalone restaurants, which comprise 22% of the market, is the fastest-growing, the report said, while the cafe segment with 12% market share is growing at 10.7% a year.

The above and many such articles prove that a market as dynamic as India, there will be tremendous opportunities for organized players to prove their mettle and only the best shall survive. Hence, the audience is now increasingly well-travelled, extremely quality conscious, expect professional service and above all expect all this with renewed consistency. Hence, we at Grillicious always keep these aspects in mind when we design our menus & recipes, events & festivals, training programs as well as CRM initiatives.

Q7. Where can you see your brand Grillicious BBQ restaurant in the next five years time?

Grillicious shall be a 30 strong restaurant chain with operations in 6 cities with complete focus on simplicity of the recipes and transparency in operations.
