Doon International Education Society was established in 1993 under the guidance and vision of Mr. Devinder Singh Mann with a goal to provide affordable, quality education to students and help them excel in their chosen field of choice. Mrs. Maninder Maan took it upon herself to form the framework of this arduous task and is the Founding Principal of Doon International School, Dehradun where the foundation stone was laid at ‘Pari Mahal’ in Dalanwala, Dehradun. After successfully surmounting all challenges, the school was a success in its first year itself with an overwhelming response of more than 500 students in its first batch.
The school has been recognised as one of the top boarding schools in the country. The success story continues when another Doon International School was established in Mohali in 2004. The icing on the top was when the riverside campus of Doon International School was started by the founders in the year 2015 to help children be as close to environment as possible and learn in the lap of mother nature.
The school follows the curriculum laid down by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. It is a co-educational boarding school from Nursery to Class XII. The school gives high priority to academics and helps the students choose the right path for themselves. It also recognises students with special talents and pushes them in every way possible to help them reach new heights.
Apart from academics, the schools also focus on the overall holistic development of the student. For that a number of societies and cultural clubs have been formed. Debating, GK, Eco, Photography clubs are a few to name.
