“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” This is true not only for a long journey, but also for a short one., I am not referring to actual journeys or trips, but to goals, tasks and actions. Once you make the first step, you gain confidence and your motivation to succeed would grow. It would then be easier to overcome laziness and inner resistance.The Entrepreneurial Journey was a great opportunity to learn from. As the business plan required every aspect of business, from finance to marketing, we had to get professional advice and pragmatic tips for the sectors our team members didn’t specialise in. For us, that was branding and marketing and we had meetings with the marketing experts. It was quite an amazing experience because we had not noticed how professional each of us was while we were learning new things together in the same classroom.
At the start of 2013, I took six weeks to create our business plan, and focused very much on our purpose, what we stood for, culture, what our customer experience was all about.That process brought everything I’d learned over the last few years together, and I really felt like I understood the business from that point on.Remember the words of Lao Tzu, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step”, and act accordingly. Also, remember that not only a long journey begins with one step, the first step, but also a short one too.
In next 5 years, I want to use my skills, knowledge, and experience in company’s growth. I want to be in a position from where I can give my effective and innovative solution to company’s problems. I want to be so highly experienced in my field so that I am able in providing satisfactory solution to my juniors and even seniors’ problems. I would like to see myself in a position where I am the part of the great success of the organization in all these years. over the next five years, I see myself taking on as many complex assignments as the position would allow.By the end of that period, I want to say that I’ve built lasting client relationships. I want to say that I’m one of the best Salespeople on the team. I wouldn’t mind becoming someone who could train and mentor others when the time comes as well.
