Q1. Can we start with an overview of Funville and what inspired you to start it?

Funville is a joyful place for kids to have complete fun with their families. We have a large indoor playground for children of all ages to jump, play, slide and enjoy innocently. It is an ideal place for families to celebrate birthdays, parties, play games and relax at our in-house cafe and library. The idea of Funville came to Hina and Anees when they wanted an indoor place for their child to have fun as well as let the accompanying adults, chill.

Q.2. What has been the most difficult aspect of getting your brand off the ground and how did you overcome that?

The difficult part was to change the habits of Indian parents. Urban life has reduced family time and increased construction has reduced playgrounds for kids. Over the weekends, people just go to malls, food-courts and do the same old things. We aggressively marketed our concept to people and attracted them to our venue. Once, they experienced its magic, it was a piece of cake to pull in more crowds.

Q.3. What is Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of Funville? How is your brand different from your competitors?

Actually, fun is the USP of our concept. Regardless of the day or season of the year, we are always open to impart joy and cheer to Indian kids. Funville has everything a family needs. We have different play sections for every age, video games, foosball, and air hockey to increase the playfulness quotient for kids. Parents don’t get bored here because we have a fully stocked café and library for them too.

Q.4. Where have you marked your presence in India till date?

Funville’s flagship outlet is in Colaba, Mumbai. We are planning to open more stores in other cities.

Q.6. Where do you see your brand in next 5 years and what are your future strategies?

We feel that every Indian family deserves the best time with their children. So, in the next 5 years, we want to expand to Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad. We aim to provide 360° fun solutions to Indian families.
