Q1. How has brand EasyPOS’s journey been so far?
→ EasyPOS was founded in the year 2014 by Lalit Singh and Pawan Karki. They saw an opportunity in the small and medium sized business space for an intuitive and an easy to deploy solution for businesses, to provide an online point of sale, inventory management and loyalty management software.
Gradually, they both realised that the system needed to be smarter and add on more features as value additions. Gradually, CRM ( Customer Relation Management), billing, employee management, vendor management, expense management and loyalty programs made their way in EasyPOS’s growing portfolio.
Earlier this year, EasyPOS was acquired by Zopper, which is India’s largest hyper-local marketplace for electronics and mobiles. Zopper saw the lying potential in EasyPOS and its expertise in POS solutions fitting strategically with its business model. Post the acquisition, EasyPOS has helped in empowering retailers in making informed decisions on inventory management, demand estimation, local area consumer marketing, analytics, trends, etc.
The road ahead looks very encouraging as retailers are appreciating the efforts put forth by EasyPOS. As of now there are 3,000+ retailers on board and EasyPOS is planning to reach another 10,000 retailers by the end of the year.

→ We have very aggressive expansion plans. We are planning to extend our salesforce number from 180 to 400 by end of October. We have a target of reaching 10,000 customer base by the end of the year and thereafter we will try to acquire 2000 customers on a monthly basis. Our core focus is enabling retail merchants with solutions which will help them in maximising their sales & profits.

We understand the vendor’s business model & thereafter our product
consultants implement the solution as per their business requirement. We also help customers in managing offers & ad campaigns based on consumer behaviour. Our support helplines works from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM 365 days.
Q6. What are your thoughts on the Market that you provide service to?
EasyPOS focusses on the Indian Retail Industry worth $100 billion, 90% of which is highly unorganised. These retailers might not invest in a solution which will merely manage their billing & accounting but they will definitely invest in a solution which provides value addition and help them in enhancing their sale.
Also, keeping in mind the new GST law, SME’s will now have to keep a track of transactions and input/output tax at all times. EasyPOS is planning to help these enterprises plan their business better by managing their inventory, sales and billing.
Q7. Where do you see EasyPOS in the next five years?
In next five years’ time, our aim would be to establish EasyPOS as a renowned brand amongst all the retailers spread in every nook & corner of the country. At the same time, we will also make alliances with some global partners to make our presence in overseas market as well.
