Madhay Pradesh-based spa brand, Shaukin’s the premiun thai spa is in its own ways shielding the beauty all over the India. The brand is expanding pan-India via franchise route.Mr.Rajesh Motiyani, Director, Shaukin’s- The Premium Thai Spa spoke to us on how he is taking his brand pan-India and his advice to new entrepreneurs.
Q1.Can we start with an overview of your brand; and what inspired you to start Shaukin’s –The Premium Thai Spa.
Ans.I know people who started business spontaneously: without business-plan, market analysis etc. Most of them managed to achieve goals and expand their enterprise. However in recent years too many people are involved in different business affairs. Spa business becomes more and more popular. That’s why we decided not to run risks as it could lead to waste of time, finances and even complete failure. Firstly we’ve chosen a place with lower rate of competition. Everybody knows that this business expands and grows very fast.. The first step to start our business was to find finances and place for it. I must admit that great advantage of this sphere is that any place would do. Most people are tired of constant fast-moving life. We are ready to provide relaxation for them with our brand SHAUKINS PREMIUM THAI SPA.
Q2. What has been the most difficult aspect of getting your brand off the ground and how did you overcome that?
Ans.As I have mentioned, we didn’t have much experience in this sphere. But we were young, initiative and ambitious, and looked for any opportunity to start a business. Spa sphere was already developed. That’s why we used secondary research. We read publications and followed the example of successful entrepreneurswe surely made few mistakes, as nothing can be done perfectly. We had some problems with selling our business Creative work, innovations and initiative ideas are of great importance, especially for spa business. Nowadays more and more people get involved in this sphere. It creates high competition. That’s why it’s necessary to have unique approach not to be like others. New equipment and professional staff are always valuable.
Q3.What are your expansion plans in India?
Ans. Our expansion plan is big but not wide because we want to expand on a principle of Quality’s
Services. We are planning to expand our business in PAN INDIA.
Q4.What is the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of the brand? How is your brand different from your competitors?
Ans.We tried to create a spa which would satisfy clients and personnel as well. Our USP are

Q5.when did you decided to go for franchising?
Ans.We have decided to move on franchising track after our complete study in this sphere. So we decided to come on franchising stage from January 2016.

Q7. What kind of backend and frontend support you would provide to your franchisees?
Ans.We will always support the franchise by our end completely. Backend support we can do is set up a call center for them in frontend we are always there for providing staff.
Q8. How do you see the future of the industry you are in and what are your future strategies?
Ans.This industry is currently on a boom and has a very bright future according our studies. And our strategy is very simple we have currently 4 spa and will be doing 25 till end of this year.
