Louis Philippe Plans To Open 50 Outlets through the Combination of Company-Owned and Franchising

With sales growing 25% year-on-year (y-o-y) in value terms, Louis Philippe, the premium menswear brand from the Aditya Birla Group, plans to open 40-50 exclusive outlets in the current financial year. This would take the number of exclusive Louis Philippe stores in the country to 200, a top official said. The expansion in the stores network would see an investment of about Rs 30 crore, said Jacob John, Brand Head, Louis Philippe.

“We are seeing a good growth, especially in tier-2 cities,” he said. The new stores would be a mix of company owned and franchise outlets. Louis Philippe, which has a 70:30 ratio in favour of own outlets, expects it to change to 60: 40 as the franchise model is turning out to be an attractive proposition.
