Asus India, a renowned computer manufacturer, is rolling up the sleeves to enter into the tablets world by this month, which will range up to Rs 10, 000.
The tabloid market is currently dominated by major brands such as Micromax, apple etc.
The company said it will launch four tablet PCs in the near future priced ranging from less than Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000. Tablets above Rs 10,000 will have SIM-card slots that will allow users to make voice calls.
The Taiwan-based company is also planning to expand its franchise stores, in order to push up the total share of sales of its PCs in the market to 10 per cent by the end of this calendar year.
Apart from franchisees, Asus India sells its products through multi-brand retailers. As of now, it has three national distributors including Rashi Peripherals, Compuage Infocom and Global Infonet.
