Virtual Platform For your Brand

Taru Bhatia:

Let me ask you one simple question. What is the common link between the people staying at different corners of the globe? I guess you have got a hint of what I am trying to say. Yes, it’s the virtual platform containing different social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. Today, these platforms are successfully joining people to a common link, making it an easy way for a company or organization to connect to the masses at once.

You might be thinking that there other reliable and fancy medium which can be used to disseminate information to major section of people, like print advertisements or electronic. It may be, but have you considered that through these mediums one is not able to get the instant feedback. Equipping such medium to reach people is like only telling about your brand or services, unconscious of who is listening.

By social networking one can easily deduce that people gather to socialize with the world. It can be a person, organization, company etc. getting into the pool of virtual platform and this makes a major difference in approach to people. Social platforms ensures a personal touch with your target audience and enables easier brand recall.

To illustrate it further let me quote it with an example. You have posted a status in your Facebook page and have got several like on it. Don’t you think it has enhanced the visibility of your brand among a section of people? Sure it does. Getting likes and comments to your status on your page depicts that people are talking about you and wants to discuss more about you. You can experience an instant response with which you can assess the position of your brand in the market. Not even that you can manipulate your market position by just being active on these sites.

You can literally build a different relation with your audience by just taking care that you are:
· Updating your content regularly on your company’s page.
· Not messing up your personal information with your professional one.
· Using the promotional techniques carefully as it leaves greater impact over your audience.
· Not being too self-obsessed with yourself. Do not talk only about your success stories. Well, there are many other things to share apart from this. This can be sharing insights of the market, taking opinion of other issues, concerning your industry, with your fans.
· Responding to all the queries and comments of posts updated in your page. It is important to realize your fans that you are actively listening to them and care enough to respond.

Lastly, I would say that using social media platforms gives you an edge over your competitors (especially from those who are not using social media). Remember, you presence on social media platform is not the only key for the success of online marketing, it is the interaction with users that counts.
