Delhi-based leather goods brand, Da Milano, known for its handbags, is set for a brand extension to introduce new products. The brand plans to introduce two sub-brands – Rosso Brunello, offering premium footwear for women, and Da Milano Home, offering leather interiors – by September,2010.
The brand is also targeting key airports in the country to open exclusive stores. It has firmed up plans to open stores at the domestic and international terminals of IGI Airport in Delhi this year. The brand will also tap the franchising route soon to tap tier 2 cities – said by a senior company official.
Established in 1989, Da Milano offers leather accessories for men and women in the price range of Rs 5,000 to Rs 16,000, with the majority of its business coming from the women’s category, particularly handbags.
