3M may enter car servicing via franchising

3M – US based diversified business firm said it is looking at entering the organised Indian car servicing business by 2011.Said by the officials, the company has independent car servicing centres in many countries, including over 500 in China and some in Brazil. At present it is evaluating the same for India also and if things progress well, it might venture into car servicing in a year or two. It will probably do it under the franchise model. It will start with a few centres as pilot projects to get the model in place and then will think of expanding.
